Friday May 10: The Bevvy sisters in concert, 8pm, An Lanntair. Tickets from the Box office on 01851708480.

Saturday May 11: Stramash Marquee on the castle green with M.C.s Bugsy Maclean and Iain A. Macsween, and performances from Pandejo, Her voice resides, Blitzer, Ugly Violet, A Promise to No-one and Stuttgart Traffic, with a licensed bar and burger van. All in aid of The Leanne Fund and 2CLIMBKILI challenge.

Saturday May 12: Sale of Work, Town Hall , Stornoway. Doors open 2pm.

Saturday May 18: Womens cancer challenge 2013, Lews Castle College. Entry forms available from ISL and www.womenscancerchallenge.co.uk. All funds to the Lewis branch of Cancer Research UK.

Tuesday May 21: Stornoway Astronomical Society, Instructional talk by Ian Coulson on how to use a telescope, 7.30pm, Stornoway Coastguard station.

Thursday May 23: Stornoway Thespians present a quiz night., 7.30pm, The Crown Hotel. £12 per team of 4.

Friday May 24: PHAB Club Prize Bingo, 8pm Stornoway Golf Club. Bingo books £10 plus raffle, great prizes with all proceeds going to PHAB Cub Stornoway.

Saturday May 25: The Co-operative Stornoway, Half Marathon, 10K and fun run, including half marathon charity relay. Entry forms available from Lewis Sports Centre, or enter online at www.srac.org.uk.

Friday 31 May: Sgoil an Rubha Parent Council family fun evening, Sgoil an Rubha. All pupils, parents and friends of the school invited to attend along with the rest of the Point Community to enjoy a BBQ, Raffles, Bric a brac stalls, Bouncy Caslte and much more. Gates open 5pm ‘til 8.

Tuesday June 4: Stornoway Astronomical Society, Laptop Astronomy with Angus Morrison, 7.30pm Stornoway Coastguard station.
